Seven Easy Travel Steps to Create That Perfect Family Vacation

We as parents are always planning vacations for our children so that they will have the best of time, making sure they are having fun, hydrated, fed, busy with smiles on there faces and we as parents by the time the sun goes down are exhausted! Well What about us? Well I have discovered this works!

Step 1- Be an adult but think like a kid when planning things to see and do. Most children love and enjoy doing what their parents are doing while on vacation. So introduce them to all new things! Choose a few new adventures each trip! Do them together for all to enjoy!

Step 2- Travel to a destination that has lots of outdoor activities and not a place where you are committed to a 3 day theme park! Travel to a place that has beauty and plenty of adventurous activities. Kids festivals, rodeos, dude ranches, ATV parks, water theme parks, steam engine railroads, tee-pee sleepovers, hiking, swimming, Indian cliff dwellings, western melodrama, whale watching, age old ice fields to find dinosaur artifacts, stage coaching, doll making, tubing and horseback riding.

Step 3- Travel to a destination that has many cultural villages and visit them. Do what the locals do. Introduce your family to the different preparations of local foods! You will find authentic people and there will be many cultural classes to take.

Step 4- Make your Travel Base location a village or city that offers good accommodations and have lots of summer nights festivities scheduled, Concerts, Kids villages, markets, restaurants, outdoor bars with local entertainment, water theme parks, museums and then you can drive daily to visit other cities of interests. Kids can easily associate and understand the different history and cultures of the area by visiting this way.

Step 5- Schedule a short time everyday for relaxation (even if it is not a nap) Picnic lunch and swim. Lake fishing, sandcastle building, visiting the park, but relax!

Step 6- Make your Travel a 3 generation trip at times!! Bring along the grandparents and make it very memorable for years to come.

Step 7- Make your Travel plans stress free. Reserve your travel by guaranteeing your accommodations with a credit card and if you feel you want to stay a day less or longer just cancel before your deadline!
