I love surfing but like many British surfers I find it very difficult to know where great places to surf in England are. I've spent the last few years travelling the country finding the best places in the country to get some great waves. I've written the following article to inform you of these places and I hope it helps you have some great fun.
Great places to surf in the South-West
Widemouth Bay- although this beach can be very busy and is popular in the peak seasons it has some great beach break waves in left and right directions.
Treyarnon- this area can be busy dependent on the season but can be great fun and the views are fantastic with great reef break waves.
Hole- has great views and you can often get there without too many tourists and joggers on the beach. I'd definitely go early in the morning to avoid the crowds and get on those reef breaks.
Great places to surf in the South-East
Joss Bay- Can be a tourist beach but is fairly long so pick a part which isn't near the entrance to the car park and you should be fine. This area has great left and right beach breaks and can be great fun.
Great places to go in the East
Gorleston Reef- As it's a reef area it isn't too busy but watch out for the rocks. Great reef breaks from the left and right and this place is close to some great beach towns.
Scratby- this place is a gem in the sand. Almost always empty so you can have some great fun out there with the beach breaks although it's great that it's empty it isn't the prettiest of beaches.
I hope my article has helped you find some great places out there on the UK coast line.
