Some of the important animal species which can be seen here are Faced Langur, Sambar, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Wild Boar, Indian Bison and Leopard. This place is also the paradise for the bird-watchers which are visited by scores of bird lovers from several parts of the globe.

Some of the common birds that can be seen in this national park are White Bellied Dronges, Parakeets, Black Stork, Owls, Minivets, Steppe Eagles and Owl.

During migratory season tourists get an opportunity to see some of the rarest species of birds which also includes Sarus Cranes.

The best time to visit this national park is from November to June because it is the most promising season for tiger sighting. There are number of tourists lodge available around the park where tourists can stay during their Bandhavgarh visit.
