Following Highway 21 from Boise to Lowman is sure to be a great experience for any biker out there. It is one of the few roads that offer sweeping turns and tight roads to travel on. The route length is exactly 66 miles long and it has been very well maintained.
There are many turns and hills will keep you on your toes and make this a very interesting ride on a bike.
This trip will take you through all of nature's glory. There is an assortment of wildlife to see along the way from Elf to Coyotes there is always something to see. On top of all of the wildlife there are numerous spots overlooking large canyons and ravines, and the trip is through the mountains.
This is really a road for any nature lover and I would encourage you to bring along your camera to capture many of the breathtaking views along this trip because you are going to want to share them with everyone you talk to about this trip.
While this part of Highway 21 is pretty laid back and traffic free it is by no means deserted. There are many places to stop and visit along the way. Within the first 25 miles there is a cool little place called Muley's Mountain Coffee. It's a great place to relax and enjoy some good coffee before getting back on the road.
After Muley's it is open roads up until Idaho City where a number of amenities exist. If you're hungry one of the best restaurants in the area is Diamond Lil's Steakhouse and Saloon. The rustic atmosphere and down to earth decoration is exactly what you would expect to find out in the mountains.
The selection of food is superb and the atmosphere is even better. You can expect to meet some really friendly people and even make some new friends. Diamond Lil's Steakhouse is at 407 Main Street and you just have to make a left off the Highway on to Main Street and it is a straight shot.
At the end of your trip through the mountains you can stay the night in Lowman before hitting the road. The Foxes Den comes highly recommended as an affordable place to stay while still being very nice.
You can rest assured that the ride along Highway 21 from Boise to Lowman is something you will not soon forget.
It is sure to be a relaxing experience with nature and the open road. Motorcycle trails such as this are considered to be some of the best kept secrets of the United States. They make for a great experience that other people may not regularly travel.
