Puerto Rico Bird Watching Escapade

Puerto Rico, one of the best vacation spots in the whole world. A series of islands inhabited by amazing people, this country is located in the northeastern Caribbean Sea. An archipelago, it is composed of one mother island and several other small islands, some of which are uninhabited.

Puerto Rico vacations are usually composed of relaxation and lots of good food. Still, if you want a more lively vacation trip you can try bird watching on this tropic island. Because of the nice all year round weather, bird watcher enthusiasts will find it quite appealing.

Another thing to note is that there are different birds, more than 50 of them, can be found on this country, better halves of them are natives of the tropic island. Some of those native birds are also on the endangered species lists so that will be quite a treat for all of those birding enthusiasts.

There are many spots available for bird watchers to set their gears and one of the best spot is the Cabo Rojo Recreational area in the Southwest of the mother island. In here you will frequently see the most priced main attractions when going birding in the country, the Puerto Rican Amazon. No doubt about it, if you want to go birding on your vacations here, it's a must see to catch a glimpse of the Puerto Rico Amazon.

To inform you in advance of what this exotic bird looks like, the Puerto Rican Amazon is a mostly green colored parrot, yes, a noisy talking green parrot that has blue feather edges. It has a bright red forehead and looks like it's wearing white sunglasses because of its eyes being surrounded by white ovals.

So when you have that Puerto Rico vacations pack your bird watching equipments as well and have a blast bird watching on this magnificent island.
